hiatal hernia self massage techniques

This is a very simple but powerful do it at home self massage technique to show how you can reduce the symptoms of hiatal hernia and even permanently fix the pain associated with it .

A hiatal hernia happens when the upper part of your stomach slips up through the passage of the esophagus via an opening of the diaphragm called the esophageal hiatus.
Subsequently, this could create a rupture or a weakness of the diaphragm.

The symptoms of hiatal hernia are due to the upper part of the stomach being compressed. In this particular situation, the sphincter muscle of the esophagus doesn’t close properly allowing the acid to come up to the throat.

One of the symptoms of hiatal hernia is the feeling of burning pain around the chest area. Taking antacid reflux medications won’t solve the problem. The solution is to lower the upper part of the stomach at its normal place. This can be done by self massage techniques.

First, take one hand and with the tip of your fingers dig in the soft spot just underneath the rip cage and do a pull down motion. The idea is to bring down the part of the stomach that has protruded into the chest area.

Start easy, do this massage exercise for about one minute, once or twice the first day, the next day if you’re feeling sore, stop, and wait until the soreness goes away before you try it again.

Some people will dig deeper than others.

When you are doing this type of hiatal hernia message, you should only dig to your comfort level.

As you continue to do this exercise you will notice that you could push a bit further creating better results.

So work at it 2 – 3 times a day for about a minute each time and within 2 weeks of regularly doing hiatal hernia massages, you should notice a reduction of burning sensation from the hiatal hernia symptoms. You should feel much better and continue to do it until you no longer experience any pain.
